Terrorism in the Name of Islam

By Editorial Staff

Not just linking terrorism to Islam is so far from the truth, Islam and terrorism are extreme opposites.

About violence and terror Allah says in the Qur’an:

…if any one slew a person – unless it be for murder or for spreading mischief in the land – it would be as if he slew the whole people. (Al-Ma’idah 5:32)

Allah has forbidden every kind of mischievous acts in Islam including mischief and violence, and condemned those who commit such deeds.

In the video below Dr. Zakir Naik expiates on the issue of terrorism, explaining what violence and acts of terror, in the name of Islam, are truly and what Islam says about them.

This lecture tackles this issue and speaks about terror acts committed in the name of Islam, a religion of peace and coexistence, and how Islam denounces violence in all its forms, and calls for peace and goodness:

Take to forgiveness and enjoin good and turn aside from the ignorant. (Al-A`raf 7:199)
