From Each According to His Ability

The Prophet (peace be upon him) has said: “Convey from me, even one verse.” (Al-Bukhari)

So, at all levels each Muslim- according to their own abilities and limits- could share the message of Islam with others.

But if I have limited knowledge of Islam, should I choose people at the same level? Or should I go above my limit and level of knowledge?

How could we define our own terms before reaching out to others about Islam? How do we, as Muslims, define the essence of Islam? Does this affect our ability to reach out positively with others?
