Instagram is a free online photo sharing and social network platform that allows member users to upload, edit and share photos with other members through the Instagram website; email, and social media sites such as Twitter, Facebook, Tumblr, Foursquare and Flickr. Instagram’s editing features include various digital filters, one-click rotation and optional borders. Photos can be shared on one or several social media sites at once with a single click.

Step 1/Option 1: Use Google Chrome

One option is to use the Google Chrome browser. First, open the Instagram video in Google Chrome. Next, right-click on the video and select “Inspect Element”. This will open the javascript window.

Find a link with .mp4 and click on it. A new tab will open with the video. Right-click on it and choose “Save video as”. A dialog box will open. Decide where you want to save the video and press “Save”.

Step 2/Option 2: Use InstaDown

Another option is to use “InstaDown”, a web application that allows you to download in a very simple manner videos and photos from Instagram. Open your browser and go to: www.instadown.com
Enter the URL of the Instagram video you want to download and press the “Instadown” button. It will download the video in a few seconds. Also you can use the Get BB Link feature to share a link.

Step 3/Option 3: Use IFTTT

A third option is to use IFTTT or “If This Then That”, a web service that aggregates many other web apps into one place and can perform actions given a certain set of criteria.
Open your borwser and go to “ifttt.com”. Click on the “Join IFTTT” button and complete the form to create an account. Once you’ve created your account, visit: “www.ifttt.com/instagram”. Press the “Activate” button”. Choose “Browse” from the upper menu. Then type in the search bar: “Instagram video” . Scroll down and choose “If I like an instagram video then save it to Google Drive”. After this, activate that channel. Then press “Use Recipe”.

Let’s test it to see if it works. I liked a video in Instagram, so now we have to see if it is saved in Google Drive. As you can see, there’s an IFTT folder, and inside of it there is the video that I liked on Instagram.

Step 4/Option 4: Use SaveDeo

A fourth option is to use “SaveDeo”, a web application where you just paste the URL into the text field to download videos. Open your browser and go to “www.savedeo.com”. Copy and paste the link of your Instagram video and click on the “Download” button. In the new tab you will find to the right of the page a small red button titled “Download”. Click on it and the video will play in a new window. Right-click on it and choose “Save video as”. Then choose where to save it and click the “Save” button.
