Step 1: Signing up for Tumblr

First of all you are going to need to sign up for Tumblr. Visit ‘www.tumblr.com’ and click the ‘Sign up’ button. Enter your email address, and select a password and username then click ‘Start’. Enter you ‘Age’, check the box to indicate you have read the conditions and click ‘Next’. Enter the CAPTCHA code and click ‘Almost Done’. You will then need to select some interests, when done, click ‘Next, then click ‘Next’ again and then click ‘Skip and Get Started’.

Step 2: Verifying Your Email

You will be taken to your Dashboard interface but before you continue you should confirm you email address. Navigate to your email and open the verification email, click the verification link, then use the link on the page to return to your Dashboard.

Step 3: Viewing the New Blog

That is essentially how to create a blog on tumblr and to test it out let’s make a post. Depending on what you want to post select the appropriate link at the top of the page (we are just going to post some text so we are clicking the ‘Text’ option).

Enter a title and some text and then click ‘Publish’. Now, visit you blog by clicking the link to it in the top right of the page. A new tab will open and your brand new blog will load.
